Sour Cream and Apple Pie

I had to share this recipe with you. I've kept it hidden from my sisters' for the longest of time. So, now they will get it with you. lol. It is such a delicious pie, but as with all of my desserts it is simple but, oh so rich!


    Sour Cream and Apple Pie
3/4 cup Sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon flour
1 slightly beaten egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sour cream
2 cups chopped apples (small pieces)

Method
Set oven to 350 degrees. Allow a prepared 9" pie shell to gentle cook in oven, about 4-5 minutes. Remove. Set oven to 450 degrees. In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients together. Then add agg, apples, and sour cream. Mix all together til blended. Add vanilla and mix.
 Pour into pie shell. Bake 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 30 minutes. Add topping, cook an additional 2 to 3 minutes @ 350 degrees.

Topping
1/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter

Method
Mix dry ingredients well. Cut in butter, mix til crumbly. Sprinkle over cooked pie. Put back into oven and cook 2 t0 3 Minutes at 350 degrees.  Allow to cool before cutting. You are in for a Treat. Enjoy!
