Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. Not only does it give you energy to start a new day, but breakfast is linked to many health benefits, including weight control and improved performance.
Eating a healthy breakfast can help to give us: A more nutritionally complete diet, higher in nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. Improve concentration and performance in the classroom and on the job. More strength and endurance to engage in physical activity. And, lower cholesterol levels.
Mom was right, eating breakfast is very important for us, but especially so for children and adolescents. It is a fact, children who eat breakfast perform better in the classroom and on the playground, with better concentration, problem-solving skills, and eye-hand coordination. Mom, it is our time to shine! Make two extra waffles and pour another glass of orange juice...for yourself!
Yes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, BUT not if I ate it like I really would like to every day -- meaning: fried eggs over easy, bacon, sausage, home fries, english muffins... I never eat this during the week, but I love a HUGE breakfast on the weekend! LOL!
